This girl comes from an amazing family (the Battaglia's). We just met them a few months ago and so glad to know them now. I'm looking forward to hearing about the lives she will change while serving. And yes, that is snow on the mountains still

Halfway

I started feeling him move this last weekend. Now I can start really enjoying being pregnant. Maybe people will look and know now that I am, and I didn't just eat a few too many peanut butter shakes. these were taken by my photographer husband - sitting on our porch last night and decided to start tracking (which we never did in the past and wish we had)

I was taking some pictures of our sleeping child by the pool. (kids look the most lovely and peaceful as they sleep ;) and Ava got a little jealous I think, she sat there watching me take a zillion pictures of her sister, in one position....next thing I knew she had gone into Granny's make-up and spruced up her lips to grab my attention. Maybe I'll put some others on later of her posing (so funny!) when I've got some more time. Entertaining kids. Devin says I always seem to be in a better mood the day I do photoshoots or even when I just pull out the camera for little things like this. It's the truth, it makes me feel so happy...

Sometimes the extended family shoots tug a bit :). These guys were wonderful. They were all so nice and cooperative. I'm really looking forward to working on theirs.

Excuses

We moved again. I always knew I wanted to live in an old (over 100 yrs) house someday, for even a short time. We love it here, and are still working on getting all settled in.
and the greatest & most important of all, I've been working on our little guy in my belly. With little energy the last few months. There are so many things that come with being pregnant, I think I forgot. For instance, losing brain cells (I've been forgetting things so easily), I could sleep all day long - literally, the hips expanding, the headaches, way weird dreams, the hormones (I've done the laughing and crying at the same time many times), of coarse the nausea and heartburn. I know I can't just blame pregnancy for everything, but man, proven stuff right? I'm dang Grateful for them though, just keeps us knowing I have a healthy baby in there makes it all very WORTH IT.

These girls are my favorite things in the world. You should see how thrilled they are to be getting a brother. Now we just have to continue waiting for October!
